Sometimes the best kind of family holiday is the one that offers little to do but spend time together at the lake.
This charming 3-bedroom, one bath cabin sits on the shores of a private lake. Pickerel Lake is a small private lake with no public access. A rowboat awaits a day filled with fishing for Sunfish, Northern Pike and Large Mouth Bass and more! Remember to bring your boat from home if you would like to drive to other lakes in the area to try your luck there!
You will escape the bother of flying insects in the screened-in porch while appreciating the beautiful view of the lake. The kitchen has many conveniences plus a gas grill outside for your barbeque specialties. A window air-conditioner will cool you on those hot summer nights.
The rowboat has oars or a small motor for discovering that special fishing spot, but remember to bring your own life preservers. There is fire ring for family sing-a-longs or roasting hot dogs and s’mores.
Pickerel Lake is in Hackensack Minnesota. Leech Lake, Woman Chain of Lakes and Birch Lake plus 124 other lakes are within a 10-mile radius of the cabin. Within that same 10 mile radius is a State Forest and The Chippewa National Forest!
Area: Hackensack is well known for the National Chain Saw Sculpting Competition held at the end of September every year! Magnificent! Go into Hackensack and enjoy the public beach on Birch Lake! Drive a mile to check out the latest film at the Bear Pause Theater!
Down the road to Longville is the famed Turtle Races every Wednesday from Memorial weekend to Labor Day weekend! A must-do for all the kids and adults! Go North seven miles enjoy all that Walker has to offer: Northern Lights Casino, numerous eating establishments, specialty shops and Walker Bay City Park.
A refundable security deposit of $300 will confirm reservations. Security deposit refunded 21 days after departure. No smoking will be allowed. Check in is after 3:00 PM. Check-out is at 10:00 AM.

A. May –September: $ 110.00 Night and $ 700.00 /Week.
B. Three night minimum stay.
C. Pet Fees: $75/weekend and $150/Week, non-refundable. (Dogs Only)
D. $75.00 cleaning fee, paid by renter
E. 6.875% MN Sales Tax
