Magnificent Shingobee Bay CABIN

This two-story Cabin with lower level walkout presents the perfect vacation rental cabin for your next vacation!  A great atmosphere / location for a vacation in any season, with year round opportunities for recreation and relaxation.  (Winter snowmobiling, ice fishing…Summer fishing, water sports and activities, biking, hiking, Fall hunting, etc.)  Situated 3 miles from Walker or 3 miles from the Northern Lights Casino (In opposite directions )… on peaceful Shingobee Bay.  Spectacular views from the inside of the cabin, or from the large deck on the lakeside. Will sleep 8 people with 4 bedrooms (each with a Queen bed), and up to 3 more with Futon and Reclining Chair with Ottoman.  Extra room in upstairs bedrooms to accommodate a porta-crib, or use a cot or air bed on floor.  (Cot and air beds provided).

The main level boasts an up-to-date kitchen with separate dining area, family room, bedroom, bathroom and a fantastic 3-season porch, where you can enjoy the sunrises, lingering over that second cup of coffee.

The lower level features another family room with pub/game table, wet bar, fireplace, fridge, microwave, one more bedroom and bathroom and laundry room.  This lower level is perfect for fun-filled evenings with family and friends!  Walk outside to a spacious deck, complete with screened gazebo with table and 4 chairs, sauna and fire pit off deck.  Two patio tables with umbrella’s (seating 10) are provided for your vacation meal fare and outside games entertainment.

The large dock has a bench for more water enjoyment.  It has a covered lift and room to dock two more boats.  There is GREAT fishing right from the dock!!!  Head to Agency Bay for your swimming and beach activities.

The Leech Lake area offers memorable year-round vacation adventures including fishing, hunting, golfing, hiking, biking, skiing and snowmobiling. Shop at the charming shops in downtown Walker.  Restaurant offerings range from ethnic to boat or snowmobile accessible dining.

Fishing: Leech Lake has approximately 112,00 acres, maximum depth is 150’, but most is less than 35’ deep.  About ¼ of the 201 miles of shore consist of gravel-rubble-boulder mixture – most used by spawning Walleyes!  Leech and the surrounding area lakes offer excellent fishing for walleyes, pike, muskies, large/smallmouth bass, perch, crappies and sunfish.  Whether you’re a seasoned fisherperson or a newbie, this lake is for you!

 

Golf: Two championship courses plus many other courses in the area, offer plenty of opportunities to enjoy a round on some of the most scenic courses in northern Minnesota.

Try Longbow, Tianna, Wedgewood, Wildwedge – all very near to Walker.

 

Hiking: The Walker area is a hiker’s paradise! Enjoy the County Road 50 Walking Trail, Heartland Trail, Mi-Ge-Zi Trail, North Country National Scenic Trail, Oak Point Trail, Paul Bunyan State Recreational Trail, Shingobee Trail and Stony Point Recreation Area Trail.

Snowmobiling:  The famous Heartland and Paul Bunyan Trails boast hundreds of miles of groomed Minnesota snowmobile trails along with frozen lakes for the avid snowmobiler.

ATV/Snowmobile Trails: Three trail systems intersect in the Walker/Longville area – Heartland, Paul Bunyan and Soo Line State Trail boasting hundreds of miles of recreation!

City of Walker:    Festival of Lights, International Eel Pout Festival and ‘Pout Polar Plunge.  Country Jam and Moondance Music Festivals.  Walker Bay Days and Ethnic Fest.  Northern Lights Casino.

City of Longville: Turtle races.  Run Around Woman and Taste of Longville.

    I am interested in finding a nice lake home to rent for the summer. June 1 – July 31 Looking for good sized yard. Dogs OK. IN Leech Lake in general. ON Leech is best but would consider others. Looking for a nice place. What can you recommend?
